An Amazing Transformation!

This little boy

has gone through an amazing transformation.

A few weeks from coming home from China, Nathaniel started throwing some intense temper tantrums. He would scream "No" at me, swing his arms around, hit and kick the wall, and fall to the floor.  Some days he would do this three or four times in just the morning.

I was seriously getting worn down. 

Nothing I tried was working.

Then, over Christmas and New Years I discovered something. Nathaniel does not throw fits when Jon is around. Not one single fit.

He only does it for me.

I have no idea why he does this, but we decided that Jon would take over disciplining Nathaniel. If he got out of control, Jon would come home from work.

That week, Jon came home multiple times. The next week, maybe once. This week? Not one single time. This child has not thrown one fit the ENTIRE week!

Neighborhood Walks

I made the decision a week or so ago that I needed to get these little ones out of the house more. It is so much work getting shoes, hats, sunglasses, and sunscreen on that I tend to just keep them in to play. I realized they really needed some outside exercise. So, every morning the littles and I walk seven tenths of a mile. It takes us about thirty minutes, but we do it.

Today was a gloomy day and we even had a few raindrops fall down on us. However, we still enjoyed the walk. 

We picked flowers....

Sang some songs...

Took turns walking the dog...

Nathaniel can never stay on the sidewalk. He's always exploring where he shouldn't. :)

And Mae is always falling behind...

I have come to cherish these walks.
