More Sunday Aug. 7th

We have just boarded the train. Finally! Over nine hours was spent sitting at the train station. We will arrive 24 hours after our intended arrival time. Seven of those hours were spent in a hotel. You can imagine the fatigue that is starting to set in. I am so thankful that we will be able to have a goodnights rest before we meet Nate and Mae.

The train station was quite the hub. We meant to take a picture, but never got around to it. People everywhere! We did see a few other English speaking people. I was the only red headed, white girl in the whole place for 9 hours. The train ride will be long, but I think it will be interesting to see the countryside. Most people on an adoption trip will never be able to see so much of the country. We will count our blessings.

……….

We have arrived! It just took 24 hours longer than we expected. The train ride was uneventful. We slept some and just tried to not think about what would face us when we arrived. We assumed we would have to hire a taxi to take us to the hotel. Imagine my relief when we say a man standing at the exit with our name. I had trouble reigning in the tears. In about 10 hours we will be headed out and meet Nate and Mae.

The day has finally come.
