Yosemite

Jon and I sat down the other day and planned out days that we would go places. We want to make sure we go camping a few times, take a trip to Yosemite, and go to the beach. We often find, at the end of the summer, that we have not done nearly as much as we wanted. I attribute that to poor planning on our part. This year we are being intentional. This past Saturday we took a day trip to Yosemite. There were many times during the week when we thought we should just stay home since the week had been so busy. However, we forced ourselves out of the house and we are so glad. Here are some pictures of our relaxing and low stress day.

Cutie with Glasses

Last week we went to the ophthalmologist to have Lil's eyes checked out. I didn't learn anything new, but Lily did get a prescription for some glasses. The appointment took forever, and Lily did a great job. She will eventually need to have surgery. Also, we will be able to learn what she sees when she is older. So for now, we just know that she needs glasses and will some day require surgery.

These frames are really the dorkiest frames I have ever seen. I was not thrilled to be putting them on my girl. However, I think she wears them rather well. She is so stinkin' cute even with the dorky frames. She took to them right away and left them on the rest of the day. They have some serious magnification in them. I also had them add some tint so the glare inside would be cut down a bit.
